Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta
Since 1990, Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta has partnered with over 350 families across Southern Alberta, creating a stable environment for families and communities to grow. Habitat allows families to purchase their homes with no down payment or interest, and mortgage payments never exceed 30 per cent of the family’s eligible income.
Our collaboration with Habitat for Humanity
Over the past three years, our team at ATCO Energy has eagerly volunteered at Habitat's build days, providing hands-on support that allows us to witness the impact of our partnership. Whether participating in the excitement of groundbreaking ceremonies, assisting with construction, providing free energy to Habitat families or home services to make homes move in ready, we're grateful for the opportunity to invest in Alberta families.
This year, we once again sponsored one of the 2025 Industry Build days for Habitat's latest project in Airdrie. With our help, Habitat raised $110,000 in this year’s Industry Build. In addition to the financial support, our team worked alongside the construction crew for a full day of framing and building.

The Industry Build may happen once a year, but our commitment to Habitat for Humanity extends year-round. Since the beginning of our partnership, ATCO Energy has provided over $100,000 in donations and services to aid Habitat's operations.
