ATCO Energy is proud to announce an expanded partnership with the Women in Need Society (WINS), a local non-profit that has been transforming lives in our community for decades. Together, we’re lighting the way for women, families, and resilient neighbourhoods across Calgary.
Meet WINS
They’re a Calgary-based organization that provides essential services to women and families within our communities. Through employment programs, their House-to-Home initiative, and access to essential resources, WINS helps individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and meaningful support. With seven retail locations across Calgary, WINS offers more than thrift stores—they serve as vital hubs of support, connection, and hope for community members.
Teaming up for good
At ATCO Energy, we believe that community is built through connection, and our relationship with the WINS is an example of our shared values in action.
From October 2025 through September 2027, ATCO Energy is proud to be the official energy provider for WINS, powering all seven of their retail locations and donation center. With over $120,000 in support—through financial contributions, in-kind services, and event sponsorships—this partnership helps WINS reduce operating costs and redirect savings into the programs that matter most.

Over the years, ATCO Energy’s supported WINS through employee-led fundraisers, donation drives, volunteering, and seasonal initiatives. These efforts have given us a front-row seat to the incredible work WINS does and the impact they have on women and families across Calgary.
This expanded partnership is more than just energy rates— it’s about showing up in real, tangible ways. Here’s what we’re committing to over the next two years:
- Exclusive energy discounts for WINS retail and donation centres
- International Women’s Day events hosted at our Blue Flame Kitchen venue
- Neighbour Day celebrations at the WINS Beltline location – bringing community together
- Holiday Gift Room toy drives led by ATCO Energy employees, helping families during the holiday season
- Ongoing volunteering and donation campaigns
