At ATCO Energy, we don't just operate in Alberta — we live here. We see firsthand the challenges many Albertans face in building stability for their families, and we’re dedicated to being part of the solution.
That’s why we’re proud to announce that ATCO Energy will commit one per cent of its annual profits to community partners here in Alberta. It’s our ongoing investment in organizations that help people access housing, stability, and the support they need to thrive.
Our community partners
At ATCO Energy, we believe that everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home. That belief is what brought us together with our community partners several years ago — and it’s the foundation of the expanded partnerships we have today.
Women in Need Society (WINS)
ATCO Energy has been proud to stand alongside WINS for four years, serving as the Official Energy Supplier for all seven of their Calgary locations. WINS has been supporting women and families in our community for over 30 years, offering essential programs, basic needs support, employment training, and community resources to help achieve long-term independence.
Through this commitment, ATCO Energy is helping WINS sustain and expand their programs, so more women and families can access the support they need to achieve stability and independence.
“ATCO Energy’s investment will help WINS continue providing critical support to women and their families facing financial hardship, while strengthening communities across Calgary for the long term.” — Karen Ramchuk, CEO, WINS
Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta
Since 2022, ATCO Energy has been a committed partner of Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta, contributing nearly $200,000 in financial and in-kind support. We’re also their Official Home Services and Energy Supplier.
Stable, affordable homeownership changes the trajectory of a family’s life, and Habitat’s work makes that possible for families who might not otherwise have that opportunity.
This annual commitment builds on that partnership, helping Habitat continue building safe, affordable homes, and create lasting stability for families across the province.
HomeSpace Society
ATCO Energy is also growing its relationship with HomeSpace Society, a Calgary-based organization providing affordable, supportive housing for vulnerable residents. Access to stable housing is foundational, and HomeSpace is making it more attainable for those who need it most.
As we continue to expand this partnership, we’re exploring more ways to help scale their impact and continue to expand access to stable housing.
An investment that grows with us
The contribution will vary year to year, tied directly to ATCO Energy’s annual profits. That means as the business grows, so does the investment in our communities. It’s a sustainable model that gives our partners the ability to plan ahead and build on their work for the long term.
“Our purpose is to make life easier for home and business owners, and this commitment is one way we extend that beyond the services we provide — by supporting organizations that create real stability and opportunity for Albertans”. — Lindsey Hagen, Senior Director, Marketing & Communications, ATCO Energy

Double Your Impact Day on June 18
To mark this commitment, ATCO Energy is launching Double Your Impact Day on June 18, in celebration of Calgary’s annual Neighbour Day.
On that day, we’ll match purchases made at all seven WINS thrift store locations in Calgary, up to $10,000 — doubling the support for programs serving women and families across our city.
Community investment is part of who we are
This commitment reflects the values that have guided our partnerships from the beginning — caring, collaboration, and a genuine belief that strong communities are built through long-term investment.
Alongside our sister brand Blue Flame Kitchen’s work with Radiance Family Society, and the ATCO EPIC employee giving program, this is part of a broader culture of showing up for the communities and creating opportunities for the generations to come.
We’re proud to stand alongside WINS, Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta, and HomeSpace Society, and we look forward to building on this work together.
