How we support Habitat
As a local, Alberta-based energy retailer, we’re committed to doing our part in supporting our fellow Albertans and creating a tangible difference in our community. That’s why aligning our efforts with Habitat for Humanity has been the perfect match. Our partnership is founded on our shared value of caring and fostering stability and strength for Albertans through affordable homeownership.
Here’s how we help:
- Fundraising through community events: Every year, we host family-friendly events to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Southern Aberta. Over the past two years, these events have raised over $24,000 for Habitat, bringing the community together and supporting a great cause.
- Free energy for Habitat families: We provide 6 months of free energy to Habitat homeowners. This support provides families with financial relief as they transition into their homeownership journey. Thus far, we’ve supported Habitat families with over $40,000 worth of free energy.
- Volunteer hours: Our team loves to help! In the past year, 41 team members donated nearly 300 hours to help build Habitat homes in our community.
- Home maintenance services: Our sister brand, Rümi Home Services, supports Habitat families in making their house into a home. Rümi has provided more than $32,000 in home maintenance services to help Habitat homes get ready for homeowners.

They are on a mission to provide stable homes for families facing challenges in finding safe and affordable living spaces. By removing barriers to home ownership and creating ongoing build projects throughout Southern Alberta, Habitat for Humanity is tackling the urgent housing crisis and creating opportunities for families to establish stable futures.
