We’re busy this holiday season! At ATCO Energy, caring and collaboration are core to our company values. This holiday season, we brought these values to life by coming together with heart, community spirit, and festive cheer.
Santa in support of Habitat for Humanity
We kicked off the season of giving at the Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market by lighting up the festivities with our annual tree lighting ceremony. For the third year, we brought Santa to the market as the official sponsor of Santa’s Cozy Corner. Families captured holiday moments with Santa, and every photo taken supported our community partner, Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta. This year, we raised nearly $24,000 for Habitat, bringing our three-year total to over $47,000, helping families build strength, stability, and a place to call home.
Expanding the joy with WINS
Every year, we proudly support the Women In Need Society (WINS) Holiday Gift Room by hosting a Toy Drive among our teams—but this year, we took it a step further by inviting our broader community to join in. At Santa’s Cozy Corner, we encouraged visitors to bring toy donations, spreading even more holiday magic beyond the photo experience.
Internally, our ATCO teams rallied together in an incredible way, filling five bins with toys to ensure more families could experience the joy of the season. These donations go directly to the WINS Holiday Gift Room, where mothers can personally choose a gift to make their child’s Christmas special—a gesture that brings dignity and warmth to the season. And the impact doesn’t stop there; any leftover gifts are set aside for the WINS Birthday Gift Room, ensuring children feel celebrated and loved all year long.
To make giving even easier, we partnered with Cherry Tree Lane, a local Calgary toy store. Their pop-up toy store made it simple for employees to shop on-site and contribute to the toy drive, boosting donations and supporting local businesses in the process!
The spirit of generosity
We’re incredibly proud of the partnerships, teamwork, and community spirit that made this season so impactful. From lighting trees to lighting up hearts, these contributions are a reminder of what we can achieve through meaningful partnerships and the spirit of generosity.
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, or simply shared the joy. Together, we’re creating brighter holidays and stronger futures for families across Alberta.
