Unlike our Guaranteed Rate Plan, the Variable Rate Plan offers floating rates that adjust with the market. These rates can fluctuate based on factors like supply, demand, and weather. When market prices drop, you’ll enjoy lower rates and potential savings.
However, rates can also increase, especially during high-demand seasons like winter. Market rates for natural gas often rise in the winter due to increased heating demand, while electricity rates can spike in the summer when Albertans turn on their air conditioning.

1The quarterly $50 credit program requires an active account and good financial standing for 90 days prior, with credits being applied when service is completed and expiring at the end of each quarter. Credits cannot be combined with other quarterly credits or carried forward to subsequent periods. This program may be modified or discontinued at our discretion; additional terms and restrictions may apply.
